Alex Edmans and Dirk Jenter Awarded the 2024 PRI Outstanding Research Award for Best Paper

Congratulations to CEPR Research Fellows Dirk Jenter and Alex Edmans, along with their co-author Tom Gosling, who were awarded the 2024 Principles for Responsible Investment Outstanding Research Award for their paper, 'Sustainable Investing: Evidence from the Field. The 2024 PRI awards recognise and reward leading practice and innovation in how asset managers, asset owners or service providers have developed responsible investment strategies and stewardship practices.

Dirk Jenter is a Professor of Finance at the London School of Economics and has been a CEPR Research Fellow in the Banking and Corporate Finance programme since 2016. Prior to joining LSE, he was previously on the faculty at Stanford University and MIT. His work has been published in top academic journals and has been featured in the Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Financial Executive Magazine, Smart Money, and on CNN.

Alex Edmans is a Professor of Finance at London Business School and a member of the Banking and Corporate Finance programme at CEPR, following his appointment in 2023. He was also involved with the CEPR Research Policy Network on Sustainable Finance, having served on the Steering Committee from June 2021 until earlier this year, when the RPN was retired. Alex has spoken at the World Economic Forum in Davos, testified in the UK Parliament, presented to the World Bank Board of Directors as part of the Distinguished Speaker Series, and has written for the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Harvard Business Review and World Economic Forum.

Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) is an investor initiative, in partnership with UNEP Finance Initiative and UN Global Compact, working to achieve an economically efficient and sustainable global financial system.
