CEPR Political Economy Symposium 2025

The Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick, along with the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF) are organising the CEPR Political Economy Symposium in Rome, Italy, from 14-15 March 2025.
The aim of the symposium is to bring together top researchers across the world: a focal encounter taking place in Europe every Spring discussing high-quality work in political economy, broadly defined. Another important aim of this symposium is to provide young scholars with the opportunity to meet and discuss their work with senior top scholars in the field. A limited number of papers will be selected to allow maximum time for discussion.

Important: the scholar submitting the paper should be its presenter.
Please note you will be asked to choose ONE of the subfields "sessions" below to submit your paper to:
- Political Econ History
- Culture & Institutions
- Development & Field Experiments
- Behavioural & Experimental
- Voting & Elections
- Macro-Dynamics, Political Frictions
- Conflict & Trade
- Media & Protests
- Inequality Migration & Populism
- Lobbying & Corruption
- Legislatures & Democratic Institutions
If you would like to submit the same paper to multiple categories, you will need to separately submit it one by one to each category. You will also be asked to specify your funding requirements.
Authors who already have a CEPR HUB profile can upload their submission by:
- Going to https://hub.cepr.org/ and logging in
- After you have logged in, go to https://hub.cepr.org/event/4410
- Click on "Step 1: Apply"
- Under "Apply to Attend" click "Yes"
- Tick the boxes that apply to you
- Tick "Would you like to submit a paper?", upload your paper and supply the requested information.
- Click "Submit form" to make the submission.
Authors who do not have a CEPR HUB profile can upload their submission by:

- Click on "Step 1: Apply"
- Under "Apply to Attend" click "Yes"

The deadline for replies is October 27, 2024. We cannot accept submissions received after this date.
Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered for all participants according to the CEPR travel guidelines. If you could contribute to the costs of your attendance with a research grant at your disposal, however, this would free up funds for other participants. Please indicate in your application whether you will be able to cover your own travel costs, or whether you will require funding.
