Paserman's research spans a number of areas in labor economics and applied microeconomics: intergenerational mobility, immigration and its effects on the host country’s educational system and its labor markets; models of search, with applications to job markets and marriage markets; discrimination in the labor market; and a number of issues related to the dynamics of violence and the political economy of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. His research has been published in the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the American Economic Review, the Review of Economic Studies, the Journal of Labor Economics, and Economic Journal, among others. He holds a B.A. from the Hebrew University, and a Ph.D. from Harvard University.
