Guglielmo Barone is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics of the University of Bologna. Previously, he worked as an Associate Professor of Economic Policy at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padua, and as a Senior Economist for the Bank of Italy. His main research interests lie in the areas of Political Economy, Urban economics, and Public Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Bologna. His papers have been published in leading scientific journals, including Review of Economic Studies, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Journal of Urban Economics, Journal of Public Economics, and Economic Journal.
