Katarina Nordblom is a Professor at the Department of Economics of the University of Gothenburg. Her research interests are in public and behavioral economics. She has conducted research on Swedish taxes as well as on social preferences. One area in which she has focused lately is tax compliance, where she combines knowledge from the two research fields. In ongoing research, she studies tax morale and how individual, as well as social norms, evolve over time, and how tax policy may affect them. She does both theoretical and empirical research, but all of her research either is concerned with policy-relevant issues and/or tries to understand new aspects of individual behavior and decision-making.
