Ludvig Wier works as Head of Secretariat at the Danish Ministry of Finance (but writes for Vox in his personal capacity). Prior to that he was a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at UC Berkeley. He has also worked as a consultant to the Boston Consulting Group and IMF. Finally, he is the founder of Economists Without Borders.
