Matthias Efing is an Associate Professor of Finance at HEC Paris. He holds a PhD in finance from the Swiss Finance Institute and graduated as Diplomkaufmann from the University of Mannheim. Professor Efing's research on financial intermediation, corporate finance, and governance has been published in the Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Finance, the Review of Corporate Finance Studies, and the Journal of International Economics.
