Melih Firat is currently an Economist at the IMF’s Strategy, Policy, and Review Department. He previously worked at the IMF’s Asia and Pacific Department. His research focuses on inflation dynamics, monetary policy transmission, and international spillovers. He holds a PhD in Economics from the Johns Hopkins University and MA in Economics from Koc University.
