Patrick Kampkötter is a Professor of Managerial Accounting at the University of Tuebingen. He received his PhD in 2011 from the University of Cologne. He is a Principal Investigator of the DFG Priority Program 1764 “The German Labour Market in a Globalised World” and an affiliated member of the Center for Social and Economic Behavior (C-SEB) at the University of Cologne. He is also a member of the Committee for Organizational Economics of the German Economic Association.
His research areas include managerial accounting, organizational economics, personnel economics, and applied microeconometrics. He studies the role of incentive and compensation systems in organizations (e.g., in the financial services or gig economy), the risk sharing role of bonuses, the impact of performance evaluation and performance appraisals on job satisfaction, internal labor markets, and the role of helping and antisocial behavior in firms. Recently, he also became interested in health economics-related topics such as improving the availability of stem cell donors.
