Rachel Li an assistant professor in the Culverhouse College of Business at the University of Alabama. She earned her Ph.D. in Finance from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University in 2018. She also holds a Master of Science in Quantitative and Computational Finance from Georgia Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the University of Alabama, Dr. Li was a visiting faculty member at Southern Methodist University.
Dr. Li’s primary research interest is in empirical corporate finance with a focus on corporate governance and institutional investors. Her recent work examines how market discipline affects the incentives and outcomes of financial fraud, and corporate policies on environmental and social issues.
