Reducing Conflict and Improving Performance in the Economy (ReCIPE)

ReCIPE is a CEPR research initiative funded by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO) which offers a competitive research grants scheme for projects related to the underlying relationship between economic growth and conflict and fragility. The programme aims to make progress towards identifying practical economic policies that can help reduce conflict. The programme is part of the FCDO-funded Growth Research Platform, which brings together two other FCDO projects, PEDL (see https://pedl.cepr.org/) and STEG (https://steg.cepr.org/) together with a Policy Response Window.

Private Enterprise Development in Low Income Countries (PEDL)

PEDL is a joint research initiative by CEPR and FCDO which offers a competitive research grants scheme for projects related to the behaviour of firms in low-income countries. The programme aims to better understand what determines the strength of market forces driving efficiency in these countries.

€-coin

On 20th September 2007 the Banca d'Italia and CEPR launched €-coin, a new economic activity indicator for the Euro area. It replaces the old Eurocoin index published monthly by CEPR. €-coin is a real-time, monthly estimate of area-wide GDP growth. It provides a single number summarizing the current economic outlook for the Euro area
