Tessa Bold is a non-resident fellow at the Center for Global Development and an Associate Professor at the Institute for International Economics Studies at Stockholm University. Her research focuses on the microeconomics of education and public service delivery as well as agriculture in low-income countries. Her work has been published in leading academic journals including the Quarterly Journal of Economics and The Journal of Economic Perspectives. More recently Bold has worked on modelling the Covid-19 pandemic in low-income countries, as well as climate change and energy use. She received her DPhil from Oxford University.
