After completing his Ph.D. at the Paris School of Economics, Thomas Douenne started to work as an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Amsterdam. His main research field is Environmental Economics, which he approaches through both theoretical and empirical methods. In particular, he has studied the economic consequences of environmental disasters, the distributive effects of carbon taxation, and more recently the public support for climate policies.
