Tim de Silva is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), and will be joining the Stanford Graduate School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Finance in July 2025. He received a Ph.D. in Finance from the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2024. Prior to his Ph.D., he received a B.A. in Mathematics and Financial Economics from Claremont McKenna College and worked at Morgan Stanley and Analytic Investors. His research is broadly within economics and finance, with a focus on the following areas: Household Finance, Macro-Finance, Public Finance, Behavioral Economics, and Computational Methods.
