Tim Jackson

Associate Professor at University Of Liverpool

Tim Jackson is an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) at the University of Liverpool. He investigates bank regulation and its links to macro-economic stability with a particular interest in the proposal of Narrow Banking (a proposal as old as deposit insurance but which hasn’t been tried!). He has published in the Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Money Credit and Banking and European Economic Review, among others. Lately, he’s been researching Central Bank Digital Currencies to achieve some semblance of narrow banking (since central banks will likely hold safe assets).
