Valerie Smeets is Professor of Economics at Aarhus University. She is a member of the Industrial Organisation and Trade Section at the Department of Economics and Business Economics and a Research Affiliate of the Tuborg Research Center for Globalisation and Firms. Professor Smeets research interests relate to empirical work in the fields of international trade, industrial organisation and organisational economics. Her recent research focuses on the link between firm and product-level productivity and international trade, as well as how international trade affects the internal organisation of firms.
