Enze Xie is an assistant professor at the School of Economics at Zhejiang University and a consultant at the World Bank Research Department (DECTI) trade team. His research focuses on the interaction between trade and imperfectly competitive labor markets, trade policies, and global value chains. His current research projects include studying the impact of imperfectly competitive labor markets on firms' production and export behavior and domestic value added in exports for a wide range of countries. His work has been published in field top journals, including the Journal of Development Economics. He obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the National School of Development (formerly known as China Center for Economic Research, CCER) at Peking University.
