Joan Paredes is a Principal Economist in the Prices and Costs Division of the European Central Bank (ECB). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Goethe University Frankfurt. His research interests lie in macroeconomics, with a particular focus on empirical macroeconomics. His work has been published in international academic journals, including Journal of Applied Econometrics, International Journal of Forecasting, and the Scandinavian Journal of Economics, amongst others.
